Our tough trowel is hand forged from one piece of 3mm thick mild steel. Designed to withstand digging in the hardest clay soil. this trowel is made to last, no more bent or broken handles. It is a substantial tool, weighing 565 grams and with a little care, should last a lifetime of use. Trowel length is 325mm long.
To keep your trowel in good condition, do not leave it outside, when not in use. It can be seasoned with some spray oil such as WD40 or cooking oil to prevent weathering using the same method as with a cast iron pan. There is no need to heat your trowel. You can just leave the oil to soak in and dry.
Please Note: This is a well made substantial tool which is significantly heavier than an alternative wooden handled trowel. Wooden Handled trowels weigh on average approx 200 - 250 grams
