Restored Gate

We restored various sections of this cast iron gate, railings and posts to bring it back to the high standard of this 5 star B&B in Caerleon Gwent.

Traditionally Made Gate

This single gate was made for the same property as the previous image. It is made using traditional methods, including riveting and punching. There is not a weld in sight- this is the kind of work only a real Blacksmith can make!

Traditional Gate Detail

Close up detail of the previous gate. The top of the gate is curved to match the stone arch above. The rail heads are made to match the main gate at the front of the property.

Window Bar

Other work completed at this property included making and fitting these bars to the windows.

They are a simple but effective link to the gates and railings, whilst giving added security to the property.

The client at this property had this lovely lamp so I made an appropriate bracket so they could hang the lamp above their grand front door.

The client had this unique Australian Barbecue Grill that had been very well used so I restored it back to use. Now they just need a bit of sun to enjoy a great barbecue!

Pyxe

This project was carried out to aid research into how ancient religious ceremonies were conducted. I made the metalwork alongside other craft makers who contributed to the finished product. The research was instigated by Bangor University and St Fagans Museum in Cardiff.
